Raise the Bar
January 11, 2011 by Glenn Sayers
Hey, gang, let’s raise the bar, and go higher and healthier than we’ve ever gone before! At Crossroads church we’re going to begin taking our health seriously, and raising the bar in many areas of our lives this year.
It’s time to start, or should I say, “Get a head start”…(using our heads first…then our bodies). The future of Health Care in America is tenuous at best, and frightening at worst! Together, we can make a difference by taking control of our health. It’s the one thing we DO have some control over. I’m inviting, AND CHALLENGING, you to raise the bar in your own life. What area(s) do you need to improve on and get healthier in? It might be weight, diet, excercise, sleep, stopping smoking, or drinking alcohol, cutting back on fat, or lowering your stress, or dealing with your depression, or it might be as simple as drinking more water. Whatever it is…begin today to raise the bar.
I’m inviting you to join the movement at Crossroads to “Raise the Bar!”—Pastor Glenn Sayers
P.S. I’m committing to cut back on desserts (which for me is in between a temptation and an addiction)…but with God’s help I’ll do it! If you are willing, and feel comfortable, let me know what you’re going to be “Raising the Bar” on, or committing to doing that’s healthy.
