Vacation Bible School

July 9, 2011 by Bill Scharffenberg

Over 30 Natomas Crossroads Kids discovered that God Is Wild About Them at the four week PandaMania Vacation Bible School in August. Kids participated in memorable Bible-learning activities, sang catchy songs, played teamwork-building games, dug into yummy treats, experienced electrifying Bible adventures, and created crazy crafts!

Kids at PandaMania also learned how to serve by joining nearly a million children sharing God’s love with other children throughout Latin America. Through this mission project, called Operation Kid-to-Kid, kids in North America created special backpacks for needy children.

HUGE Panda Hugs to the wonderful Kids Crew and Volunteers that made it all happen!  SEE YOU NEXT SUMMER!

Mexico Mission Trip Postponed

April 21, 2009 by Nancy Sayers

Dear friends,

It is with a heavy heart, and after much prayer, that we have decided to postpone (“reschedule”) our Baja Mexico Mission Trip scheduled for May 17.  I have been looking forward to our time together, and to our trip for many months now.  So, it’s with a lot of sadness that I am writing to you!

As most of you have been watching and reading, the situation in Mexico with the H1N1 (“Swine Flu”) and also the challenges with the increasing violence along the border towns with the drug cartels, is making it not safe to travel to Mexico at this time.  Not only is it “unstable” in the country of Mexico, the Foundation for His Ministry Mission, in Baja has closed their schools, the medical clinic, and all outreach activities have been cancelled at this time.

I’ve contacted the Canadian group that we were going to partner with, and they have already cancelled their trip as well.  So, it is with great sadness that I’m sharing this with you!

I am praying that a new trip can be planned sometime in the Fall (“God willing”).  I would love to have you be able to experience it with me! If you have any questions, please contact me, or talk with me tomorrow at church.  Thanks for your spirit of cooperation.

In love,

Nancy Sayers
