Men2Men on May 23
May 9, 2010 by Bill Scharffenberg
This event is for Men and sons or boys. It provides a great opportunity to get together and have some great all American summer fun! The game starts at 1:05pm on Sunday, May 23. We will be sitting in section 106 where the tickets are $16 per person.
The ticket price includes a group discount (normally $18 per ticket), so we really need to get a good count on the number of men that will be attending. Please let us know by this Sunday (May 16) if you are interested in attending with us (if you have not already). There will be a sign up sheet available at church this Saturday.
If you’d like more information or to register for the ball game, please contact Fran King by email FYIKing(a)yahoo.com or by telephone 916-928-1433. You can also contact Tom Yambasky by email tyambasky(a)aol.com or by telephone 916-419-9541.

Men2Men on April 18
March 5, 2010 by Bill Scharffenberg
Plan to attend the next Crossroads Men2Men outing on Sunday April 18th! We plan to visit the Las Mariposas Civil War Days in Mariposa CA. It will be a no-stress outing for men who are interested in having some good times with other men.
This is the most authentic Civil War reenactment in California, so there will be simulated battles in the morning and afternoon. But there is also much more to see and do. The military camps can be toured to see how soldiers of the period would have lived while fighting in the field. There will be demonstrations by period artists including a silversmith, blacksmith, seamstress, and doctor. There will also be historical presentations on key figures including President Abraham Lincoln, Gen Ulysses Grant, and Gen Robert Lee. There will be additional presentations on Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, and Clara Barton.
If you’d like more information, please contact Fran King by email FYIKing(a)yahoo.com or by telephone 916-928-1433. You can also contact Tom Yambasky by email tyambasky(a)aol.com or by telephone 916-419-9541.
We really look forward to seeing each of you, and please pass this along to others that I may have missed on this mailing as all men are invited.
